Once you’ve been in extreme heat for a week and forget how to sleep you always figure getting an air conditioner is a great idea. Then you walk into the store and there they are. Monstrosities of steel and plastic hose. If you have a small apartment, like I do, you instantly wonder – can I disguise that somehow or convince everyone that 5 foot high coffee tables are all the rage. Then if you’re like me you go home empty handed and start up a nice ice bath.
Then I saw the Art Cool series from LG. They look like a flat screen TV and can hang on your wall. You can even get one that looks like a mirror. It will take you to 18 degrees in 30 minutes, has energy efficient settings a nano filter and above all it stays out of the way.
If you live in a climate where you can use this all year round it’s a great buy. However, if you live in a climate where it’s winter eight months of the year like me then check out this genius’ home made air conditioner. After all it’s only going to be a couple weeks of heat and imagine the story you’ll have trying to build this thing.

It would have been nice if the item written about in the article would have had a graphic reference.
