There are three staples that are required for a great post-college life.

First, a bed fit for a king, or queen depending on the size of your room. Anything smaller and acrobatics are impossible. I find the Stearns and Foster line the Rolls Royce of dreaming.

Second, a couch deep enough to slouch in, and wide enough to fit three to four friends. Without a good couch you’ll never have people over and more importantly you can’t use the third staple. Don’t break the bank. Buy an Ikea.

Third, a TV that’s bigger than you are. LCD and Plasma’s get cheaper every day and soon enough you should be able to pick one up at the convenience store with a slurpee. Bigger’s better, don’t buy the warranty plan. Spend the extra buying a reliable brand.

With these three staples you’re set. Everything else is gravy.
