The Tesla Roadster is the ultimate green car. It goes 0-60 mph in four seconds and is 100% electric. It costs 2 cents/mile to run, about the same as getting 135 mpg for a normal car. The only major downside I can see is that is it unproven and has to recharge after about 200 miles.
The car uses lithium ion batteries, about the same amount as 6,800 laptops would use. The car is quiet, looks fierce and is getting approval from the celebrity community. Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Clooney and the Google founders, Larry Page and Sergey Brin are already on the waiting list. Tesla’s taking orders for 2008 already so turn in your Prius and check out the next generation of green cars. It’ll cost you $98,000 if you manage to get your hands on one.

Thats a beautiful car. There are some Youtube videos on it you should check out. Also check out the Zap-X, another EV that does 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
